CorTerrae Alchemy began with a fascination that has accompanied me since childhood: the connection between nature, biology and beauty. Raised in a family rooted in Persian heritage, I watched my mother and grandmother care for their skin, hair and nails through simple botanical rituals. Their traditions inspired a curiosity that later became part of my scientific path. I studied cellular and molecular biology, with university research exploring saffron. This ancient gold became an enduring interest—both for its cultural significance and for its remarkable biological complexity. Its bioactive compounds, including crocin, crocetin and safranal, are studied for their antioxidant activity, influence on inflammatory pathways and potential roles in brain health, mood, memory, learning, stress response and sleep. For years, I created botanical formulations for my own daily rituals. After the pandemic, as our family began exporting premium saffron from our small family farm, that personal practice grew into CorTerrae Alchemy in Canada. Today, saffron is at the heart of our collection, complemented by carefully selected natural ingredients—from organic, cold-pressed botanical oils to organic green coffee beans and botanicals studied for their bioactive compounds, antioxidant properties and effects on inflammatory pathways. Each creation reflects my perspective as a biologist: bringing Persian botanical heritage and scientific understanding into everyday rituals of beauty and well-being.
